Trilogies ranked
11Zao
The Funeral of God

Including 11 because I never saw the Three Colors trilogy, but from everything I hear I know this would be somewhere on this list and knock out Pusher.
10Slayer
Seasons in the Abyss

Pusher - So fucking gritty, goddamn. All 3 will make you want to take a shower.
9Demolition Hammer
Epidemic of Violence

The Planet of the Apes (new) - Not enough people talk about these anymore. I wasn't even excited when this was announced because it sounded/looked cheesy, but tbh they're some of my favorite sci-fi films of the decade.
8Meshuggah
Nothing (Re-release)

The Cornetto Trilogy - At World's End isn't my favorite, but that just speaks to how amazing Shaun and Hot Fuzz are because I still laugh all the way through AtWE. Hilarious dialogue with actual creative gore and thrills. Some of my favorite satires ever.
7Death
Human

Scream - Yeah, I know there are 4, but I'm including this because 4 was supposed to be the start of a new trilogy (RIP Wes). 3 has it's problems, and the twist doesn't make any sense for a number of reasons, but tbh that movie gets way too much hate. It's still a solid 7-8/10 for me. Trilogy is consistently scary, hilarious and surprising.
6Triptykon
Melana Chasmata

The Man With No Name - The badassness is off the fucking charts here.
5Sleep
The Sciences

The Lord of the Rings - A bit overlong which hinders the rewatchability for me (probably revisit these once every couple of years) but all 3 are masterfully made and some of the best adaptations that I have ever seen.
4Electric Wizard
Dopethrone

The Dead Trilogy (Romero) - All three movies are classics for different reasons. My personal favorite is Dawn, but Night is so goddamn classic and Day has some of the best gore effects I have ever seen, if not the best. Savini is a God.
3Opeth
My Arms, Your Hearse

The Before Trilogy (Linklater) - This trilogy needs more love. I don't even watch romance movies usually, but these films have some of the best dialogue and character development I have ever seen, and most of these movies are just two people walking and having conversations. This trilogy is perfect.
2Megadeth
Rust in Peace

Star Wars - OG trilogy (4-6) - So I don't actually think this is technically a better trilogy than others on this list, since Return of the Jedi has a ton of writing problems imo and some cheese that doesn't work for me, but goddamn do I love these movies. So much nostalgia so much fun, so much imagination and magic. Empire is still one of my most rewatched films of all time. I can throw any of these on at any point and finish them in their entirety.
1Metallica
Ride the Lightning

The Evil Dead Trilogy - Every movie in this franchise is the best anything ever. 1 is horrifying, impressive in its filmmaking, and at times unintentionally hilarious. 2 is my favorite film ever (the blending of comedy and horror is flawless) and 3 is one of the most quotable, bat shit insane movies I have ever seen in my life. Best trilogy. Hail to the King, baby.
