Born of Osiris ranked

BoO has been slammed by fans and critics alike ever since Jason Richardson left the band back 2011, and I personally think this to be quite unwarranted. This list is to display a BoO ranking but also acts as a thank you to the band for being one of the best djent bands of this decade; and for being such a huge player in the uprising of the djent movement, that gets so much unwarranted flack from critics and fans ever since The Discovery. (Disclaimer: The New Reign is not here because The Eternal Reign fixed everything that record lacked.)
1Born Of Osiris
The Discovery

For sure their best album, TD displayed the perfect balance between the energy that BoO's music brings; and also the technicality that comes with it as well; a lot of this can be thanked for Jason Richardson's incredible guitar work. From the brilliantly short but sweet guitar solo in Dissimulation to the massive breakdown chorus of Two Worlds of Design, this album displays a band in perfect harmony with their sound, monumental.
2Born Of Osiris
The Eternal Reign

The Eternal Reign sounds absolutely immaculate, this is the BoO energy displayed in full swing; displaying more bouncy riffs over technicality, but it is not necessarily a bad thing. Great variation; incredible energy; incredibly layered as well; this album goes toe to toe with The Discovery if you ask me.
3Born Of Osiris
The Simulation

BoO's newest album succeeds in displaying the energy and variation that is very much similar to The Eternal Reign. A massive sounding project that is filled to the brim with amazing guitar work; and instrumentation overall. Although overproduced, this does not bother me in the slightest (cough my meme "favorite bands" tag with Overly Sanitary Progressive Metal), "overproducing" genuinely is not a negative to me in the slightest, although I can see why some do see it this way. Layered perfection, thoroughly entertaining.
4Born Of Osiris
Soul Sphere

"If it ain't broken, don't fix" it is what I think of when I think of Soul Sphere; this album is simply just really solid and there is not really anything wrong with it. Although the second half is definitely way better than the first half, a solid addition to their catalog. BoO manages to keep things fresh in a time when they needed to the most.
5Born Of Osiris
Tomorrow We Die Alive

I genuinely think TWDA is on an equal playing ground with Soul Sphere. Although I don't think this album as bad as some say; it is probably the most forgettable BoO record. But although this may be the case, I still believe this be a pretty great record all things considered.
6Born Of Osiris
A Higher Place

Unfortunately, A Higher Place has to be on the bottom for me simply because it's sound no longer holds up to that of any of their other records. This record could really use the same treatment that was carried out with The New Reign. The songs are great, but the sound quality definitely lets it down. (Disclaimer: I don't believe BoO to have a bad record to their name.)
