| My 10 favourite albums of all time.
These are in no particular order. | 10 | | Jeff Wayne The War of the Worlds
The first album I ever listened to, way back in 2005, and I've loved it ever since. I even saw New Generation live at the O2 in 2012 (I was at the one they recorded for the DVD!). In my opinion, War of the Worlds is the second-best album of all time. | 9 | | The Who Quadrophenia
I've loved this album for ages, and it's the second album I ever listened to after War of the Worlds. This definitely has to be my favourite though, and I rate it as the best album of all time. | 8 | | Pink Floyd The Wall
Classic. Masterpiece. In the top 5 best albums of all time. | 7 | | Tool Lateralus
I... have no words for how good this album is. Still blows me away every time I listen to it. An absolute classic, hopefully, it's remembered in 10-20 years time. | 6 | | Black Sabbath Paranoid
A classic, and arguably the most important record in the history of metal. Also a favourite of mine. | 5 | | My Chemical Romance The Black Parade
How do I describe this? Masterpiece? Best pop-punk album of all time? Emo classic? Well, it's all of those, and one of the best albums of all time. To make things even better, MCR are back from the dead! | 4 | | Green Day American Idiot
I got into pop-punk through my brother, quite a few years ago, and one of the albums he had was American Idiot. Fell in love with it on the first listen, and it's a classic through and through. | 3 | | The Who Tommy
The first Who album on this list, Tommy is the first of a trilogy of classic albums. From the overture, to See Me Feel Me/Listening to You, it tells a brilliant story, through brilliant music, and has a brilliant film to boot. | 2 | | Iron Maiden Seventh Son of a Seventh Son
I love concept albums, and I love Iron Maiden, so the two were obviously going to be a match in music heaven. From start to end, back to the start Seventh Son is amazing, has a nice storyline, and the cyclical nature means the replayability is never lost. | 1 | | Coldplay Viva la Vida or Death and All His Friends
Kicking off this list is an experimental album by Coldplay, Viva la Vida. Brilliant album, no bad songs. It's Coldplay's masterpiece, at least until Everyday Life drops. | |
