DoofDoof: Doof's Top 50 'Rock Songs' of the 10s

DoofDoof 06.06.19	My previous list wasn't controversial enough so I thought I'd drop a strange list of what I consider to be the 'rock songs' to make the most impression on me/have the most significance from this decade. The list is light on conventional rock because conventional rock has become only one way to deliver a 'rock song' flavour in the 10s. As such these aren't necessarily my favourite 'rock songs' of the 10s in terms of purely how I consider them in terms of quality - plus only one song allowed per album to keep it more interesting.
BigHans 06.06.19	The House That Heaven Built is one of the 50 best rock songs of all time, any genre. Props for Shock Me, what a fucking jam. Baroness is amazing live btw. If you like Strand of Oaks, check out the songs Rest of It and Radio Kids.
DoofDoof 06.06.19	Hans - yeah, I need to check the older Strand of Oaks stuff. In some cases here I prefer other songs on the album or by the artist but these songs seemed the closest to what I class a 'rock song' - but I'm aware this list might only make sense to me.

DoofDoof 06.06.19	Hans - a three part'er with parts two and three superior to part one. Took me a while to realise it was my favourite on that album...and even longer to realise it was probably my favourite/most played rock song of the decade.

Gyromania 06.07.19	major props for 1, royal, and full of fire
DoofDoof 06.07.19	Sitar - thought you' have noticed there's been a bit of an Anathema appreciation society going in 2019 since Zak signed up as a fan. Been into them since Judgement came out. Gyro - nice, I spun Royal today and played the last 60 seconds three times in a row. Full of Fire is still a tune that surprises me after a hundred goes, one of their best.
Gyromania 06.07.19	yeah royal is an easy top 5 favourite deftones song for me. always felt it was mad underrated. that ending scream is just batshit insane, i love it
SlothcoreSam 06.07.19	Some good tunes here Doof. Cloud Nothings would be in my top 10 rock bands of the decade. Did you ever listen to Royal Headache's album "High"? Great garage rock, some songs off it would fit nicely on this list.
DoofDoof 06.07.19	I tried that album out recently and gave it a couple of goes, have it rated a 4 so you could be right - a song from it might have made the cut if I knew it a bit better

DoofDoof 06.09.19	I'll never totally understand your total Drones repulsion :D That Interpol track is the only recent song I like by them in my (shoddy) defence 4 is Sandwich find of the year
SandwichBubble 06.09.19	I don't get my newfound Drones/TFS hate either, trust me. Used to really like Drones but nowadays I can't stand them. And yeah, Rover is one of the better ones off that album.
