My Top 13 Favourite of all time Bands
The Albums chosen on here are usually my favourites out of the discographies but understand that i had a super hard time to really decide on a Fav album for these bands and i don't wanna devalue all their other works as i usually love all the material my Favourite bands have put out.
Also there may be some Grammar mistakes as english is not my first language. |
1 | | Dir En Grey Dum Spiro Spero
DEG are absolutely unique and one of the very few bands that managed to make me cry.
Their musicianship is fantastic and Kyo is one of the best vocalists on this planet.
Just amazing.
(i absolutely love all their albums i really can't decide upon a favourite Album ) |
2 | | Type O Negative World Coming Down
Type O... i don't really wanna say much about them.
An acquired taste, unique, I like all their stuff as well as Carnivore
R.I.P. Peter Steele "The Green Man" |
3 | | Sigh Ghastly Funeral Theatre
My interest in Avant-Garde metal started right here. |
4 | | Ihsahn Arktis.
I only recently really looked into Ihsahns solo work and i LOVE IT. It instantly became one of my favourites. I had to get over his unclean vocals at first as they appeared to be quite bad to me but now not at all. Ihsahns solo work is just phenomenal. |
5 | | Behemoth Demigod
brutal... just brutal. ^^ |
6 | | Enslaved Axioma Ethica Odini
It took me quite a long while to finally get into them but when i did a journey was my reward a journey through their marvelous Discography. |
7 | | Blind Guardian A Night at the Opera
BG are without a doubt my Favourite (European style) Power Metal band and really the only one playing this style which still keeps me entertained. Hansi Kürsch is definitly amongst my favourite Vocalists. |
8 | | Iced Earth Burnt Offerings
Basically the same stuff i said about BG only that here we have (american style) Power Metal which is much more thrash focused and tbh their early work is not really Power Metal at all more like just "Epic thrash".
And the had 5 vocalists overall.
QUICK VOCALIST RANKING:
Matt Barlow > John Greely > Stu Block > Tim "The Ripper" Owens > Gene Adam |
9 | | Wormrot Voices
The first Grindcore band i got into and after having listened to quite a bit of Grind related things they're still my favourite out of all the grind i've heard. |
10 | | Immortal At the Heart of Winter
absolute classic... legendary... IMMORTAL! |
11 | | Whitechapel This Is Exile
I'm not a big fan of Core genres... never was but i always try and give it a shot but there really is not much that appeals to me but Whitechapel was actually a band i enjoyed fairly quickly and they are my favourite Deathcore band without a doubt. |
12 | | Swarrrm Nise Kyuseishu Domo
Where my new found love for avant-garde and Grindcore collided.
I have to be honest... i'm not a big fan of their production/mix on Black Bong and Flower but i still really like all of what they did. |
13 | | Rammstein Sehnsucht
Rammstein were my introduction to metal but nowadays when i listen to them i mostly do it for the lyrics.
