ArsMoriendi
04.04.19 | 1 and 2 rule, 4 is corny blech, 9 is fun, don't care about the rest or metal in general
The fact that I don't like metal much yet have heard almost half this list makes me think its super generic |
RolyPoly
04.04.19 | Dont tell me what to do |
TheMightyScoop
04.04.19 | nah |
Stalusk
04.04.19 | Very solid list. Prefer Volume 4 & SBS but thats just indiv. preference. Same with Powerslave over TNOTB. Everything else is boss. |
StrikeOfTheBeast
04.04.19 | Let's rephrase the list to 10 Metal albums EVERYONE has heard.
Classic albums and good list of course. |
TheMightyScoop
04.04.19 | ill fix this:
black sabbath - heaven and hell & master of reality
iron maiden - killers
artillery - by inheritance
good megadeath choice
opeth - still life
acid bath - when the kite strings pop
death - leprosy
judas priest - sad wings of destiny
sleep - dopesmoker
kyuss - blues for the red sun

Asdfp277
04.04.19 | didn't like 10, it's a lost cause :[ |
Asdfp277
04.04.19 | wait i did like 4 and 8 |
BallsToTheWall
04.04.19 | How you gonna leave Priest off like that? |
Viriathus
04.04.19 | Im pretty sure a good amount of people have already heard most of these lmao
Also Opeth are overrated. |
TheMightyScoop
04.04.19 | reign in blood wasn't even close to being the heaviest album ever made even when it was released |
Allergist
04.04.19 | I was around in 86 and it really was, at least in more mainstream metal. I mean if you want to count stuff like Bathory or HellHammer, but that's a different kind of heavy in my opinion. RIB is heavier than Seven Churches too. just curious, what would you say was heavier? |
StrikeOfTheBeast
04.04.19 | Madonna was heavier. |
Asdfp277
04.04.19 | what u mean by "different kind of heavy" |
rockarollacola
04.04.19 | Sad Wings is sorely missing, and I'd replace NOTB with Powerslave. Other than that good list |
Firedust
04.04.19 | Metallica and pantera need to go |
Kompys2000
04.04.19 | Nah RTL is a stone cold classic, VDOP is okay but not top 10-worthy. |
Morningrise767
04.04.19 | All classic albums. But I'd replace TNOTB with Powerslave. |
Demon of the Fall
04.04.19 | In other words if you don't like a single album here, you probably just don't like metal. Not sure what makes Pantera essential mind. |
garas
04.04.19 | Not sure if I'd say 7 & 9 are truly essentials, at least I'd change one of them for Bathory. Otherwise pretty cool! |
PyramidNoise
04.04.19 | Replace Pantera with something that's actually different from the rest of it. There's no black metal or power metal. Like half the list is Thrash or Thrash-Like. |
hasan
04.04.19 | some very good hard hitting metal on the page with guitar and hitting very hard on the drums on parts in the songs.... a really hard hitting on slapping the strings bass, metallica and megadeath the big metal bands back then |
Kalopsia
04.04.19 | maybe list should be titled "introductory/gateway metal albums for beginners" |
BAT
04.04.19 | pantera and metallica rule wtf are you kids smoking, pass plz. symbolics both my least favorite death album and the only one i currently have in my car, 'human' is the album that turned me onto death metal. |
Jadmin
04.04.19 | Good list, but lacking diversity, although this is a sort of beginner's essentials list so whatever. |
VisionsFromTheDarkSide
04.04.19 | So basically u just clicked on the charts and posted this |
