12.19.18 | Depending on the lift, I tend to hold my breath over the course of several reps. Helps to stay tight and safe. Try it over a few reps of benching or something and over time it could really build up your endurance , without having to do cardio. |

theres zero reason to hold your breath for multiple reps, you breathe in deep, flex the core, push/pull + exhale, inhale on the decline, repeat |

I'd rather hold my breath for the entire rep (i.e. brace) and just take a breath at the top when necessary. If I feel sturdy enough to do a second rep without taking a breath then so be it. |

12.19.18 | yea idk about exhaling DURING the rep. that's where you'd feel the way you do and won't have that physical support you'd have with the inhale+brace on the start of the rep. if I'm exhaling during the rep, either I'd cuz I'm doing some endurance training where there's counting involved and the weight is doable. |
