Deathcore I Enjoy

As a guitar player myself, I can attest that much of deathcore is very simple. Be that as it may I enjoy finding releases that are good in genres of metal that most people don't like. So here's my opinion on some rather good releases from this genre
1Make Them Suffer
Neverbloom

One of the only deathcore bands to really blow me away at times. This was their most "deathcore" release as they've gone in a route of continued experimentation.
2Fit for an Autopsy
The Great Collapse

This is such a solid album. The pitch screaming is such a cool addition, especially on the live version of the album which I suggest giving a listen.
3Carnifex
Slow Death

As you'll find with most releases on this list, what makes them good is the addition of other sounds and for Carnifex that sound is black metal. These guys have moved beyond generic deathcore on their last two releases.
4Molotov Solution
The Harbinger

Probably the album that sounds like what most people think of deathcore sounding like on this list. An ultra political release with nice elements of grind, black, hardcore and death.
5Despised Icon
The Ills of Modern Man

These guys were one of the first and best to play this style. Lightening fast grind style shredding into hardcore breakdowns, dual vocals, probably the best drummer on this list, makes for a great album.
6Hester Prynne
The Goswell Divorce

Cool album that tells a story from start to finish with some funny and clever lyrics.
7Thy Art Is Murder
Dear Desolation

Like Carnifex, these guys have also improved much in recent years, especially with this album. Looking forward to how much they progress on the next one.
8Slice the Cake
Other Slices

Very progressive. So much so that I don't consider this to be much of a deathcore album but hey, the internet seems to so here it is.
9AngelMaker
Dissentient

I don't often listen to music for sheer brutality and heaviness but this is an exception. Really enjoyed this album although it was while working out so it may have had an effect on how good it sounded at the time.
10Winds of Plague
The Great Stone War

Ok, try to get past how stupid these guys dress and how damn cheesy their music videos are and just listen to this album from front to back. From a technicality standpoint they were far ahead of almost all other bands in this genre at the time. I was pleasantly surprised upon giving this album a chance recently after years of dismissing this band.
