A masterpiece of thrash. | 2 | | Guns N' Roses Appetite for Destruction
One of the most iconic albums in all of rock and metal music, it's so great it actually manages to avoid being too iconic for its own good. With songs like Welcome ot the Jungle, Paradise City and Sweet Child o' Mine - hits so huge even my grandma can recite them while sleeping - this album was bound to completely lack all feel and energy purely due to them being so overdone. However, this album is just so good, so powerful, so full of energy and passion, it miraculously manages to not only not sound boring, but also remain captivating and impactful from start to finish. The fillers are surprisingly great, the classics are as classy as ever, and the hits just refuse to be anything but amazing. This album is a monumental piece of Rock n' Roll history and an incredibly fun to look back at at that. | |
