The wonder years ranked
A Band that ticks all the boxes for me, decided to check them out thanks to the praise on here and never looked back. A difficult band to rank as there are no bad albums even the lowest would get a 4. I would like to hear other peoples ranking and/or even the moment you fell in love with the band. Mine was walking through a town called Holyhead after a final row with my Gf left me homeless with no place to go, I had previously downloaded The Greatest Generation on my Mp3 and listened to it as I roamed the streets. My life had fallen to pieces but while this album played nothing else mattered at that moment and while "I just want to sell out my funeral" rang out I hit repeat on the album several times because I knew when it eventually stopped playing I had alot of shit to deal with. |
1 | | The Wonder Years The Greatest Generation
This is perfection to me and like I have explained above it holds such sentimental value. |
2 | | The Wonder Years No Closer to Heaven
Never understood the lukewarm reaction to this one. I love the more serious direction and I think they nailed despite what even soupy himself thinks. |
3 | | The Wonder Years Suburbia I've Given You All and Now I'm Nothing
The first album I heard by them and it wasn't love at first sight but after a few listens it really hit me. I finally understood the sputnik rating this got. Every song is a classic. |
4 | | The Wonder Years Sister Cities
One of my most anticipated albums and after the glowing reviews expected something life changing. I didn't get it and after numerous listens put it on the backburner, I hope to return to it one day and get blown away like most people. |
5 | | The Wonder Years The Upsides
This was a band clearly at the peak of their genre and I love it so....but you can definitely tell the improvement between this and suburbia. |
6 | | The Wonder Years Get Stoked on It!
This is almost like what Chesire cat is to Blink 182. The talent is there in it's raw form just needed to be developed. |
