Reviewing My First Concert Experience

I attended my first real concert (because David Crowder playing at a church event doesn't count imo) this past Monday when I went to the No Fix Tour show in Birmingham. I figured I'd mark this momentous occasion by talking about how each band sounded and performed.
1LIMBS
SLEEP

LIMBS opened the show and while I wasn't familiar with their work, they played their hearts out for the 5 songs they got to play. The vocalist and the bassist went hard every song, even when the bassist fell during the set accidentally. Their set definitely piqued my interest to listen to their material.
2Veil of Maya
Matriarch

Veil of Maya played next and again while I wasn't familiar with their work, they definitely got the crowd going. Since I was right near the front and at the edge of the circle pit, I got pretty roughed up during their set, but it was ridiculous amounts of fun, even if I did nearly get knocked on my ass several times and got elbowed in the throat. The vocalist had quite a good range and managed to get the crowd into every song. Definitely wouldn't mind seeing them again live after i have a bit more knowledge of their material.
3Dance Gavin Dance
Mothership

DGD had the best performance of the night imo, and you could tell most of the crowd was their for them. Tilian sounded amazing, as did Jon and the rest of the band. Mostly played stuff off of Mothership, with a song from IG and Midnight Crusade, my absolute favorite thing they did during their set was when they played Carl Barker, my favorite DGD song. I'm already planning on catching them again during their headlining tour later this year.
4Underoath
Erase Me

Not surprisingly Underoath were great. Obviously about half the set was Erase Me songs, but they mostly sounded pretty good. My one disappointment was that No Frame didn't transition live as well as I hoped, since it's my favorite song off the album. The rest of the set was mostly TOCS and DTGL standards which all sounded great, especially A Boy Brushed Red... They also included 2 songs from Disambiguation, which was surprising. My other big complaint would be they didn't play anything from LITSOS, my favorite UO album. Overall a great fun experience seeing these bands live and can't wait for the next show I attend.
