DungeonBoy
10.31.17 | I love Iron Maiden but I've honestly never even heard 13 through 16. It'll probably stay that way. I enjoy Somewhere In Time and Fear Of the Dark more than you but all in all a pretty good list! 1-3 are 1-3 but the order is a bit of a toss up. |
Scoob
10.31.17 | lucca i can never forgive you |
DarkSideOfLucca
10.31.17 | @scoob - pls forgive thx |

10.31.17 | go listen to the t/t and long distance runner plz then possibly forgive |
BigHans
10.31.17 | 3 is arguably the greatest metal album ever.
Your description for 12 means you have never listened to Judas Be My Guide
Having S/T at 10 makes me feel bad things |
zakalwe
10.31.17 | The music, the artwork, the fans, the band, the whole package.
Greatest band of all time. |
BigHans
10.31.17 | You might be right Zak |
zakalwe
10.31.17 | Definitely a contender dude. |
BigHans
10.31.17 | They are probably the best metal band ever for sure, if you take into account the fact that right this second, they could sell out any 50,000 seat arena, pretty much anywhere in the world, in minutes. |
Piglet
10.31.17 | 4 would be the best album ever but for the wall of galloping rhythms in every song, which ultimately succeeds in making you want to forgo listening any longer and to just gallop into a wall instead. |
zakalwe
10.31.17 | And still put on an energetic, spirited, quality performance of old and new material 40yrs in the game. |
BigHans
10.31.17 | Anybody who doubts the greatness of Maiden needs to watch the Flight 666 movie to see what kind of impact they have around the world, and how much effort they put into their craft. |
BigHans
10.31.17 | There’s a scene here when the world renowned colossal metal beast Iron Goddamn Maiden is playing somewhere in South America they had never been to (one fan self-admitted it was the “ass” of the world), and a fan catches a drum stick hurled by totally badass drummer Nicko McBrain. The dude is literally sobbing for what appears to be hours after the show has ended, overcome by raw emotion, fervently clutching the canvass hammer like the memory of his fist sexual conquest. It’s a great moment in film that you can just tell wasn’t scripted, and it says more than any words can about the power of riffs and music. |
frozencarl
10.31.17 | brave new world and somewhere in time should be higher up imo, but otherwise this list is p accurate |
zakalwe
10.31.17 | You also have to take into account they have done a contender for greatest live album of all time as well. Live After Death is fucking classic. |
manosg
10.31.17 | The thing I love more about Maiden is that even though they are the best metal band of the solar system they still look like guys that you can hang with at the pub. |
zakalwe
10.31.17 | Exactly mano dude |
BigHans
10.31.17 | I would kill to play golf with Nicko McBrain |
DarkSideOfLucca

CygnusX1
10.31.17 | I remember really liking 4 when it came out, but better than Piece o Mind and Somewhere in Time? idk...
Also the best live performance of any band I've ever seen. So much energy and power in their sets, and everything from Bruce's costume changes to the various Eddies is flawlessly executed (and hilarious). I'm blown away every time I see them. Greatest band of all time indeed. |
KjSwantko
10.31.17 | I always put Brave New World higher than other people, but otherwise reasonable list |
BigHans
10.31.17 | See the problem here, is 10 has Prowler, and Prowler is absolutely the best song ever made |
DarkSideOfLucca
10.31.17 | "change your list entirely to accommodate my personal opinion"

Piripichotes
11.04.17 | Somewhere In Time would be my top Maiden record...
Fear Of The Dark = Judas My Guide, Childhood's End, Wasting Love, Fear Of The Dark and why not Afraid To Shoot Strangers... |
RippingCorpse1986
11.05.17 | #13 has some good songs (Rainmaker, No More Lies, Montsegur, Journeyman), but overall feels like a Maiden by numbers album. Couldn't agree more with your description. |
Kompys2000
11.05.17 | The Number of the Beast is the greatest heavy metal song that has ever, or will ever, be put to record. It never doesn't blow my mind. |
Casavir
02.07.18 | I think people calling the new Iron Maiden albums "progressive" has done more to tarnish the reputation of progressive rock and metal than the actual genre could manage to do so.
Seriously, if having overly long songs and having the chorus repeated constantly is progressive then yes, I guess it is. |
RippingCorpse1986
02.08.18 | Shit this list again hahaha
Haven't jammed any Maiden for a while. Need to change that soon |
