04.18.17 | smarter policies for a better britain this cuntry is going to thrive and prosper my friend |
anarchistfish
04.18.17 | please just end me now |
Tunaboy45
04.18.17 | This is rock bottom. Brexit was the nuclear blast and now we're in the fucking nuclear winter. |
Tunaboy45
04.18.17 | Hope Melenchon wins though, definitely who I'd vote for |
anarchistfish
04.18.17 | gotta love the liberal media. commie melenchon is just as bad as le pen!! focus on social welfare is equivalent to killing the brown people!! |
Tunaboy45
04.18.17 | Anyone on the left is automatically a commie, that's how it works |
jagride
04.18.17 | after labour takes a beating, anyone on the left will be constantly reminded that they had their chance and just need to drink deep from the cup of pragmatic centrist wisdom now |
Sinternet
04.18.17 | urghh this is great
kinda makes me wish corbyn had an ounce of leadership skills |
Sinternet
04.18.17 | if anything good can come out of this, it's the fact labour can probably rebuild and challenge earlier in 2022, as i don't think corbyn would be dumb enough to stay as leader should he (inevitably) lose
get someone young in charge who doesn't have a shitload of dirt on them that the media can pick up and blow out of proportion, like that clive lewis bloke |
Tunaboy45
04.18.17 | I know man, this is the final nail in his coffin Labour is gonna get absolutely destroyed. Corbyn should step down if (when) he loses but I don't know if he would. And for the record, I do like him he just isn't the right man for Labour as it is right now.
It's a fucking joke Theresa knows exactly what she's doing, pull a surprise election so no one has time to prepare and she can get some seats back off Labour. |
anarchistfish
04.18.17 | Incidentally this is probably the only time I will ever vote labour.
"fter labour takes a beating, anyone on the left will be constantly reminded that they had their chance and just need to drink deep from the cup of pragmatic centrist wisdom now"
Pls don't it's already too painful.
I love how the uk subreddit is suddenly smugly pro lib dem |
AngryJohnny
04.18.17 | No fan of Theresa but this is smart
Why not take advantage of the fact that you effectively have no opposition |
Deez
04.18.17 | This is rock bottom. Brexit was the nuclear blast and now we're in the fucking nuclear winter.'
word. Corbyn might have no leadership skills the saying goes but I couldnt give a fuck. Id vote Gary Glitter to get those Lizards out. This is truly the end of days for Britain. |
Tunaboy45
04.18.17 | No opposition, no time for anyone to prepare, get a popular vote behind her. Corbyn is unelectable but he's better than the alternatives. Just shoot me now. |
Tunaboy45
04.18.17 | @anarchistfish BBC news the presenter basically told Tim Farron he has no chance because he's pro EU. It's unlikely they'll do well but stranger things have happened. |
PrefrontalCortex
04.18.17 | The fact she's calling for this snap election proves that she doesn't have the decency to at least wait until 2020. Considering she was against the idea of an early election in the first place goes to show how evil she is for changing her mind, knowing the opposition is in no state to run a campaign with their unelectable leader. I fear the end is near guys. |
AngryJohnny
04.18.17 | I'm no Tory but come on. It's not evil at all, just smart strategy. It's not like Labour would have been competitive come 2020 |
Tunaboy45
04.18.17 | It's her going in for the kill. I can see why she's doing it but it doesn't make it any less nefarious. Claiming it was the opposition trying to 'sabotage' Brexit is a load of shit, why is she being all secretive about it just admit you're a lying bitch and get on with it. |
AngryJohnny
04.18.17 | As true as that may be the answer is to be a better opposition rather than polling at 23% during a time of severe upheaval.
If you spend 2 years squabbling, looking generally ridiculous and totally failing to communicate you invite this |
Tunaboy45
04.18.17 | I'm not saying Corbyn is a good leader for labour in 2017, but I do agree with him nonetheless. We do need a better opposition and right now that isn't going to happen because there's just too much in-fighting for them to ever get themselves together and put up any real opposition.
The Lib Dems don't have a chance, no one wants to vote Labour while Corybn is in charge so it's going to be a clear Tory victory. Labour loses more seats and if Corbyn doesn't step down things are going to get worse. The only people who are going to benefit are the Tories and the SNP because they'll get almost all the seats in Scotland again and it'll make another good case for independence. |
AngryJohnny
04.18.17 | I do agree with you.
I often catch myself wondering whether Labour can ever drag itself out of this mess though. The membership is just too divided and there's an almost total dearth of talented, genuine sounding MP's who could step up. |
Tunaboy45
04.18.17 | I think it's less that Jeremy is a bad leader and more that the people around him are stuck in the New Labour way of thinking whereas Jeremy is concerned with actual socialism. Actual socialism in the Labour party, madness.
If someone can step up and prove they'll successfully lead the party I'll support them all the way. It really doesn't matter who you vote for in this election just as long as it isn't the Tories. |
anat
04.18.17 | ah damn i have no idea how to vote. they're all as bad as each other. |
Tunaboy45
04.18.17 | This is going to be one of the worst elections in a long time, history isn't going to look back on it favourably that's for sure. |
Tunaboy45
04.18.17 | Yay, everyone is getting behind Theresa

Tunaboy45
04.18.17 | Theresa not wanting to do much campaigning or televised debates reminds me of the remain campaign's complacency and arrogance last year, and look how that turned out. You never know. |

04.18.17 | I'll feel uneasy about any time I vote the whole time we're using FPTP |

04.18.17 | I think it's just my ignorance as an American, but wasn't the British Prime Minister a dude just the other day?
He stepped down cause he was pissed, right? |
Tunaboy45
04.18.17 | Half of the people over here don't even know Theresa May is PM that's how fucking useless she is. The amount of people who still think Cameron is in charge for some baffling reason is depressing.
|
Tunaboy45
04.19.17 | Green want to unite with Labour and Lib Dems. I agree with it and it's the best chance we have of stopping the tories but let's face it, it'd never happen. |
anarchistfish
04.19.17 | FPTP is fucking aids
"lol yall complaining
our president cant form a coherent sentence, forgot which country he bombed, doesnt understand how government works"
yes and it's hilarious. but here in the civilised world we actually have issues |
Tunaboy45
04.19.17 | American politics is reality TV at this point, the rest of the world have their own problems to deal with. Like the downfall of the NHS for instance. |
bakkermaarten007
04.19.17 | She would be quite stupid if she hadn't called for a new general election. If she hadn't, she would be destroyed after the Brexit (only a year respite instead of now 3) |

05.22.17 | last two weeks have been stellar, cut the tories down to a single-digit lead nationally and had a 16-point slide into being the biggest party in Wales again
don't think it will be enough but provided they keep up the momentum (hahaha) after the election they can easily fuck the tories over |
