In the remaining segments, cut out their middle third. Keep repeating forever and eventually the only points left are endpoints to those segments. The set of all of those endpoint contains only points between 0 and 1 but that set (the Cantor Set) can be proven to be equivalent by converting to ternary and matching 1-1 with the set [0,1]. |
