got on another Dylan kick after watching Scorsese's documentary No Direction Home; i recommend it highly
12Autolux
Pussy's Dead

these guys are easily one of the most underrated bands of the modern era
13Regina Spektor
11:11

the instrumentation on this is so bare but the vocals and songwriting turn it into something pretty extraordinary
14Young Magic
Still Life
15Ulcerate
Shrines of Paralysis

16Ngaiire
Blastoma
17Ramones
Ramones
18Wormrot

this appears to be their best album. the melodic/atmospheric touches are absolutely killer
19Cruel Youth
+30mg

not a guilty pleasure
20Tinariwen
Amassakoul
21KOGNITIF
Soul Food

this is some real nice instrumental hip-hop; a huge array of moods but always thick and full of lively sampling
22Zealotry
The Last Witness

think i might prefer this to Shrines just a bit- i dig the more old-school vibe, plus it's a little bit proggier without going over the top
