Sick with the Flu and Can't Sleep

List is CD and Vinyl Collections.
1In Flames
The Jester Race

CDs (In approximate order of purchase)
I bought this my first week at college to start my collection. One of the best ever.
2Megadeth
Peace Sells... But Who's Buying?

Same as above.
3Tool
Ænima

I won this in a bet from my (now) girlfriend.
4Devin Townsend
Ocean Machine: Biomech

Christmas Present
5Devin Townsend
Terria

Christmas Present
6Gojira
From Mars to Sirius

Birthday Present from gf
7Protest the Hero
Scurrilous

Birthday Present from gf
8In Flames
Reroute to Remain

Birthday Present from gf
9Between the Buried and Me
Coma Ecliptic

Underrated album, one of their best works.
10Vektor
Terminal Redux

Thanks Sputnik Hypetrain. I was really surprised to see this in my local record store which kinda sucked in the metal department until this past summer really.
11Gojira
Magma

A serious resurgence with toned down energy but greatly improved songwriting and album structure from their previous couple efforts. I went to the record store on release day and every weekend after for a month until they got this one in.
12Periphery
Periphery III: Select Difficulty

I pre-ordered it. I neither am happy or upset with that decision, but I stand by my 5 on Juggernaut so these guys deserved my money. After listening on repeat for the long drive to their concert/my girlfriend's home, it got somewhat jammable.
13The Dillinger Escape Plan
One of Us Is the Killer

Easily these guys' second best behind Calc. I ordered a poster tube with my periphery pre-order, but then the posters didn't get made so they said they'd replace it with another CD from the label. I was expecting crap but got a better record than the one I paid for. Thanks Killer Merch
14Insomnium
In the Halls of Awaiting

I bought the Candlelight Years bundle since it was $18 for their first 4 albums. I'm not as in love with this band as I used to be, but still a very worthwhile purchase.
15Insomnium
Since the Day It All Came Down

Candlelight Years
16Insomnium
Above the Weeping World

Candlelight Years
17Insomnium
Across the Dark

Candlelight Years
18Chevelle
This Type of Thinking (Could Do Us In)

I discovered a used cd shop where everything is $5 and made it a new favorite hunting ground. The place reeks of weed to an almost unbearable extent though.
19Coheed and Cambria
The Second Stage Turbine Blade

Another used pickup.
20Fleetwood Mac
Rumours

This is one of my favorite albums of all time. It's not my usual style but I love it.
21Nails
You Will Never Be One of Us

I picked this up at the same time as the Fleetwood Mac album. I think it was the sternest combination of two CDs to ever walk out the doors of that store. This is the first album I ever bought new, sound unheard. Luckily I was satisfied.
22Typhoon (USA-OR)
White Lighter

My girlfriend got me this for our anniversary. I got her the same album on vinyl for the same occasion ironically. It is a favorite for both of us and deserves a lot more attention.
23Gojira
Terra Incognita

I saw these guys in concert at the beginning of the fall and they said they were rereleasing this album under their own label because they recently bought it back from its original label. It's my second favorite from them so I thought that was cool and bought it when I saw it in the shop.
24Quiet Riot
Metal Health

Measly Vinyl Collection starts here. I only started this very recently as I don't own a turntable. My girlfriend does though and these were all super cheap and (heavily) used.
A landmark hair metal album that is a very fun listen.
25Blue Oyster Cult
On Your Feet Or On Your Knees

This was in a Fire Of Unknown Origin cover, but I didn't check to make sure the correct vinyl was in there. I love FOUO but this one was still okay. Not a huge fan of most live albums though.
26Deep Purple
Machine Head

I haven't checked this yet due to the turntable issue but will soon. With its reputation and price, I couldn't pass it up.
27Yes
Close to the Edge

Same as Deep Purple. This one actually had two (identical?) copies of the album. I don't know what that is about yet.
28Neurosis
Through Silver in Blood

Forgot these. Back to CDs though.
This was a used shop pickup. I was so shocked to see it there I bought it immediately even though I'm not the biggest fan of it.
29The Sword
Warp Riders

Really great album. My girlfriend and I each bought one of these for me at the same time. Don't remember why or whatever, but oh well.
30The Sword
High Country

Good album, but not their best work.
