A Sputnik Encounter 3: Ménage à trois

Opeth at The Fillmore in Silver Spring, MD. There was a Maniac. There was a Kimm. There was a Channing. But most importantly, there was a fucking kickass setlist. Opeth came out after The Sword (who are actually pretty good at what they do) finished opening. There was some concern for us, due to the current direction Opeth has taken, whether or not Mikael was even able to do his growls. Rest assured, Sputnik. Their shitty music is only shitty because they want it to be. Mikael sounded fantastic and the rest of the band knocked it out of the park too. It was a lot of fun hanging with Kimm and Chan. Hope to do it again soon.
