Fck the NJO and Yuuzhan Vong. The Bantam Books Universe was a clusterfck (except for the stuff written by Zahn, Alston and Stackpole), but at least it was sometimes fun. That Yuuzhan Vong business was just drudgery.

Gyromania 10.18.15	the trailer made it look cheesy but that isn't a big criticism when it comes to horror - some of my favorites horrors of all time are hilariously cheesy. but like, how does it fare against his other movies? the trailer made the horror leanings seem pretty important. seemed like another one of those 'descend down through the basement' types where things keep getting more and more fucked up
someguest 10.18.15	It has a quite disgusting plot development in it. I told my girlfriend it was going to exist, and it did. I will say it's barely rated R. It's more creepy than gruesome. And there's no climax. It maintains a moderate pace from beginning to end.
Gyromania 10.18.15	it's at least pretty beautiful to look at though eh? when i saw the inside of the estate i was immediately reminded of casper (the first movie of course, not the disasters that followed it). and blood and guts isn't really necessary for a horror movie to be scary. i more so appreciate tension and creepiness

Jar Jar is annoying and I think they could have made one and two a little less cringey at times but they aren't un-watchable. III has the best soundtrack by far. There is a video on youtube where a guy totally rewrites one and two. In them he starts with Anakin being the age he is in Attack of the Clones and already working through his training. It seems silly to see where he began when what's really interesting is his turning to the dark side. The other frustrating thing is that the Jedi know the dark side is working heavily in their midst and yet they do nothing to track down the sith. Just things I think about I guess. The new trailers look sick. It frustrates me that some people are totally knocking it before the damn things comes out.

Jar Jar is lulzy (but you can't assume every alien has to be super serious) and Portman has some stiff acting, but the rest is pretty decent. Liam Neeson was pretty great.
