Rickislost 05.17.15	Yeah I agree I should have put Les Claypool, my bad, however I was never really influenced by Rush so that's why I left out Geddy Lee, that's something I need to check out. There's a lot of Flea bashing in here and as I said I am not really excited by the new stuff, but you can't deny that he is a great player who has influenced a lot of people into picking up bass and creating bass lines that don't just follow the guitar. Mothers milk was a great introduction to playing bass for me.
DrGonzo1937 05.17.15	Sure, on a mainstream level flea is a good inspiration (though I never got into him when I first started) but the real money comes from les. Dude would slap a hole in fleas head if it came to it.

Rickislost 05.18.15	Thanks , iv not heard a lit of them so will check them out. Another other great bassists please post them, really want to hear more. Also having had another look at the list i definitely missed les Claypool, loved playing along to .....sea of cheese and ......punchbowl. I also Stuart Zender from jamiroquai, his style really made a huge impression on me, so sorry for missing him out.
