In Uteros

Albums made by bands after coming off of a commercial success and/or critically acclaimed album which received polarizing reviews by fans and critics, but are generally seen in a better light now.
1Nirvana
In Utero

Well, duh...better than Nevermind to some people, including myself.
2The Beatles
The Beatles

The Original In Utero. Coming off of Sgt. Pepper...critics hated this thing in 1968. I think it topped Sgt. Pepper, so many gems on here.
3Weezer
Pinkerton

Who didn't hate this album on the first listen? Initially released to negative reviews, until the Green Album was released. Is now highly regarded as a quintessential album of emo.
4Radiohead
Kid A

Loved this album from the first listen. It's a far cry from what Radiohead had been doing before, but where else could you go after OK Computer? This is probably the least hated album at its release, but was still nonetheless polarizing.
5Brand New
Daisy

This is still hated by many. It took me a long time to love this album. However, I've seen lots of people say this is better than Devil and God so that's something.
