Vinyl Acquisitions Prior To RSD
Record Convention and loads of diving. Tell me what you've picked up recently, I'm sure it's more interesting than my selections. |
1 | | 86 Mentality On The Loose
Black. 2nd Press. The only reason I know it's a second press is because it's printed on the sleeve. DC gents with a love for the glory days of Boston hardcore (Prior to the youth-crew revivalism). A ferocious assault and loads of grunting. Awesome! |
2 | | AFI The Art of Drowning
Trans. Red. Definitely a reissue. The last AFI record I could ever get into. |
3 | | All Mass Nerder
Trans. Yellow. (Reissue) It says 'Orange', but that's a load of hooey. This record, however is anything but 'hooey'. It's a tough call between this and "Allroy's Revenge" for me. |
4 | | Andrew Jackson Jihad Knife Man
Trans. Blue w/Black smoky swirl. The billionth reissue. Got it at the show. |
5 | | Bad Brains Quickness
Black. Caroline. The last record they put out that was (In my opinion anyways) consistently awesome. |
6 | | Black Flag Nervous Breakdown
Black. Infinity Edition Navy Blue Zillionth pressing. Keith is such a darling with his skateboard. |
7 | | Burning Love Down So Long
Opaque Grey. Chris Colohan still slays the living. Love this and everything Cursed put out. |
8 | | Chumped Chumped
Split Bronze/Gold (Bronze God edition). Pried from the hands of Mr. Newman himself (He was kind enough to lob a koozie my way as well. What a scholar - and saint!) |
9 | | Circle Takes the Square As the Roots Undo
Opaque White/Green Swirl. Figured it was about time I snagged a copy of this. Kind've wish I was procuring records around 2004. |
10 | | Converge All We Love We Leave Behind
Black. The insufferable-sucky-tash of the House of Blues did little to dampen the radness of Converge in a live setting. They seem to get better every time I see them. |
11 | | Death Grips The Powers That B
Black. Strike me where I stand - I enjoy this double release. |
12 | | The Freeze I Hate Tourists
Black. EP. There isn't a tourist that I don't haaaaaaate - sooooo get the hell out of my staaate! |
13 | | Godspeed You! Black Emperor 'Asunder, Sweet and Other Distress'
Black. They may be the biggest d-bags in the universe, but they make solid music. |
14 | | Lightning Bolt Fantasy Empire
Black. This took way too long to track down (Get with it Chicago!) It's like a game of fuzzed-out pinball - and I'm the ball! |
16 | | The Make-Up Born On The Floor
Black. EP. Easily my favourite post-NOU song by Ian Svenonious. |
17 | | Shai Hulud Hearts Once Nourished With Hope...
Opaque Grey. This is actually the combo package reissue of this and 'A Profound Hatred of Man'. |
18 | | Sufjan Stevens Carrie and Lowell
Clear. I'm such a wuss. Die me now! |
