| Physical Albums (or Cds)?
A list of releases that I've either downloaded or streamed and really enjoyed. I'm
one of the half dozen people left who still likes to have a physical copy (I loves
me some trophies), be it vinyl or CD. I figured who better to toss the question as
to if/where these might be available than this erudite community of music fans.
Also, feel free to chime in if there are any you're on the hunt for. I doubt I'll be

Ditto this--although, it'd be nice to snag their first two EPs, which seem to be digital-exclusive,
as well. (I know Heights, their first full-length, got a vinyl pressing, so it's not

Originally released in 2011, this album was digitally remastered in 2012 per their Bandcamp,

Unless I'm completely pulling this out of thin air, I believe this was initially released as a paid
digital album in order to fund an eventual hard copy. Still no word (that I've seen, at least)

I've got all of the band's other stuff, but this one is notoriously difficult to track down. They
haven't put out an album since 2011, which is sort of disheartening, but as far as I know they

The Bitter End
I know this one (well, three, really, since I actually mean the Trilogy) has had repressing
rumors swirling around for a while, including from Andy Hull itself, so it's a bit of a different
animal than the rest on this list. That said, I still don't know if any timetable was announced
yet, but I eagerly await the day it is. | |

01.08.15 | I guess the first Minus the Bear - Acoustics disc could be here, as well, mainly in the sense that right now it's only available for absurd amounts of money from third party sellers, and I don't know if the band has any plans on a formal re-release. | Underflow

01.09.15 | I tend to buy both. Majority of my purchases are CD's because of their convenience and are typically 2-3 times cheaper. I do purchase 'classic' albums on vinyl as well, especially those with fantastic artwork. | tempest--

And the Bull Moose site produces the odd gem here and there (regrettably, I find myself several states south of New England, otherwise I'd probably find myself in-store every weekend). 01.09.15 | Yeah, probably; it reads much more arrogantly than I'd meant it to. Especially what with the last few years' resurgence in vinyl collecting, which I'm admittedly a bit of bandwagon-jumper on--although by necessity, more than image, since more and more bands seem to be gravitating towards a vinyl-or-digital model, with no middle ground. And maybe I'm reading too much into it, but while at first that trend baffled me, it seems to make more sense the more I think about it, because all audiophile arguments aside (which have merit, but aren't the issue at hand), I'd say the people I know who still collect physical music (including myself, at least to an extent) are in it for the trophy-ish aspect of it. Like Scuro said, anybody can download something, but there's a strange pride that stems from having that totem. Because materialism. | Nbehre11
