Heavy Shoegaze

A list of albums that are representative of what I deem as "heavy shoegaze," i.e., shoegaze bands that are more on the hard/alternative rock side of the spectrum than the dream pop side.
1Nothing
Guilty of Everything

HEAVY guitar tone. Very much inspired by Hum, sound similar to Whirr.
2 Hum
You'd Prefer An Astronaut

Good grungy rock/shoegaze with some metal influence.
3 Hum
Downward is Heaven

Same as above.
4Whirr
Sway

Their heaviest album yet, though I'm not as familiar with all of their albums.
5 Smashing Pumpkins
Siamese Dream

Songs like Cherub Rock, Quiet, and Today are perfect examples.
6Deafheaven
2010 Demo

Okay, this is blackgaze... but still has the type of vibe I'm looking for on some parts.
7Catherine Wheel
Ferment

A bit lighter than the others on the list, but still heavy.
8Deftones
White Pony

Other albums (except for Adrenaline) could work as well. Yeah, they're "nu-metal," but they have a pretty strong shoegaze influence.
9 Alcest
Souvenirs d'un autre monde

More blackgaze. This fits quite well also.
10Swervedriver
Mezcal Head

Has some pretty good riffs.
