MMX: Broke Up With The Girlfriend

MMX 09.07.14	Just broke it off with my girlfriend of 2 years and I feel like absolute shit for doing it, but I just keep doing it anymore

MMX 09.07.14	She was overly emotional and for the most part depended on me to be her emotional crutch for the last 2 years. She couldn't make a decision to save her life and 90% of the time would boil down to me getting fairly agitated and practically forcing her to make a decision. I love her a lot, but her inability to communicate to me/with me about anything finally hit the last nerve and I had to finish and break it off. It became far to stressful worrying about her and comforting her when she would get upset over the smallest thing (she ended crying before hand today because I told her we could go wherever we wanted for lunch on me and it turned into a 40 minute argument because she continually came up with the answer I dont Know. This happened 2 to 3 times a week). I actually feel fairly relieved right now
MMX 09.07.14	I'm still real worried about her because she didn't take it well whatsoever and pretty much was balling and screaming for the past hour begging me to stay with her. I just couldn't do it though.

Intothepit 09.07.14	Damn man, that's rough. I can definitely relate. My last girlfriend turned out to be as clingy as plastic wrap. I can't stand that. While she was a sweet girl, I had to let her go. She took it horribly, and I felt bad, but you have to move on.

Intothepit 09.07.14	You shouldn't. I mean, it's expected, but you shouldn't. If you felt tortured, then you have to do what's best for you. If one person in a relationship is unhappy, then it won't work, so it would have ended eventually. If you waited longer in hopes that things would change, things would more than likely have gotten worse and then the breakup would have been uglier.

From the way you put it it made it sound like the reason she was emotional was because she didn't want to be making decisions and you forced her to anyway. I mean if your best example of her being incapable of decision making is choosing where to go for lunch you really come off as a drama queen. It really sounds to me like you are ignoring the possibility that you are to blame for your irritability more than she is. Not that I care, just how it sounds to me from the way you put it.
