Music And The Brain - Help?

"What is music and how/why do we like music?" - This is the title for my rongoing EPQ essay I rneed to do. The idea is that I find scientific studies rrelating to why exactly we like music and rthe processes that happen to rthe brain when we listen to music (dopaaaamine bitches!) and rwhy we rlove or hate a certain style. It's like a 3000 word essay and I need to do rA LOT of rresearch from as many different sources as possible. So if any rof you are knowledgeable rabout this topic, could you possibly advice me rsome internet articles or websites about this rstuff? The more types of rformats (books too, please!), the better. List is black.

Reminiscence

Why are some sounds or genres more appealing than others to the masses? Is it simply culture or exposure? And does that
mean if we all grew up with Sunn O))) and other droney things on MTV, the radio and everywhere possible (kind of like a
dystopian future), does that mean we would all be into those things in the same way everyone loves pop? Not exactly but it's
still an interesting point to raise and this part gets very messy.

In what way possible was it ever a human benefit to enjoy sound in certain patterns from an evolutionary point of view.

Sacred White Noise

Why do we like certain sounds and genres more than others? This is where timbre plays in, which is gonna be pretty fun to talk
about to all the music nerds out there.

What exactly happens in our brain when we hear a song you like? Dopamine, mostly.

Outlining the main points here: So basically the first point to address is what is sound or noise and what exactly separates
music and noise from each other? Whilst this is a debated topic, everything is either noise or everything is either music.
