Sabbath and Purple were the most metal thing ever at the time. When Ian Paice pulled out that second
kick drum for the Fireball encore it was totally badass.
thanks guys.. I forgot some essential thrash like Kreator, Exodus, Sodom but I haven't been listening to thrash lately so the list was kinda swayed more towards black metal and death metal with the classics thrown in as well

I get that feeling too at times but then I realize how complex the compositions are and realize that there is a boat load of passion behind it.. not that complexity is an automatic justification but they pull it off imo
