| My Top 10 Children Of Bodom Songs (REVISED)!
Eh, figured I might as well make one of these. It's been interesting seeing what other people wayyy before me have put in their lists and I'm already very aware that my list is probably one of the more 'wtf?' ones, but whatever, just my opinion. Just to clarify, these are 'favourites' as opposed to what I think are their best songs, btw. | 1 | Children Of Bodom Are You Dead Yet?
Admittedly, it's not their best song ever, but it was one of the first songs of theirs that I heard and played a major role in warming me up to the band in the first place, so no matter how supposedly blah it is, I can't help but forever have a soft spot for it. ^^ | 2 | Needled 24/7
This song is just downright AMAZING. Seriously, it gets me so pumped up every time I listen to it and is just so fun and flawless and, ugh, I just love it so much! Apparently it's not a HUGE favourite amongst other CoB fans, but eh, I'm sure I can enjoy it enough for all of us. | 3 | Follow The Reaper
This song, for me, is so awesome. It's a really great title track and opening track for a really great album and right now especially I am just sooo super obsessed with it, so much so that I'm actually trying to learn it on guitar even! | 4 | Transference
From what I've read in various forums and what-not, this song isn't a favourite from the 'Halo Of Blood' album. Fair enough it's an 'easy' song, but I don't think that makes it any less amazing. It's super catchy and I just love the music! And the guitar in the chorus? Simple, but a really nice touch! | 5 | Kissing The Shadows
I'm way late when it comes to appreciating the amaaazingness of this song... I mean the guitars! They are so mind-blowingly awesome; how did I not fall in love with them sooner?! Definitely another song that has made me desperate to pick up my guitar again. | 6 | Halo Of Blood
I really did not like this song when I first heard it. It was a little too black metal for me, as well as rather 'simple', but I dunno, I guess after a few more listens I grew to love it over time. And I really like Alexi's vocals in this; it's much more aggressive than a lot of their recent stuff and gets me all happy. | 7 | Hellhounds On My Trail
Okay, I know everyone hates this album because "it sucks" and "is a sell-out album", but come on, this is one heck of an opening track. It's one of those songs that catches you immediately and, at least as far as I'm concerned, doesn't really have any weak points to it (ignoring the lyrics, of course, but let's not get into that). It's also definitely one of the stronger songs in 'Blooddrunk'. | 8 | Living Dead Beat
Not as strong an opening as the previous song, but I dunno, I can't help but love it. It's another one of the first songs I heard of theirs and it confused me initially, it not being as heavy as I expected CoB's work to be, but I dunno, I think it works. It's definitely grown on me over the years. =] | 9 | Banned From Heaven
The opening guitars and the little lick/riff/whatever in the chorus are what drew me to this song when 'Blooddrunk' first came out. I was still sceptical about CoB then, but this is the song that made me realise that there was more to this band than just, ehem, awful vocals. xD | 10 | Was It Worth It?
Personally, I'm not a huge fan of the 'Relentless, Reckless, Forever' album, but there's no way I couldn't include this song in my list. The moment I heard it, I fell in love with it, which is really rare for me, so surely that's already significant enough a thing to make it worthy! I kind of feel like it's a bit of a 'pop' song, but the theme(?) of the lyrics is kinda cool and it's just a really likeable song in general. Well, for me at least. | |

02.01.14 | Most of the stuff here wouldn't make my top 10 CoB, but some interesting choices. No love for Hatebreeder and Something Wild? | meowy
02.01.14 | It's not that I don't like those albums, but the songs are a bit hit-and-miss for me. I do really like 'Lake Bodom' though and there are parts of other songs I quite like. | EvoHavok
02.01.14 | Yeah, Lake Bodom is killer. | Muisc4Life26
02.01.14 | Silent Night, Bodom Night, Bed of Razors and Children of Decadence, need to be on this list. |
