2013 Death Rock Revival

In the past few year a bunch of great new death rock bands have been coming out. It seems like these new death rock acts have absorbed everything that made bands like Joy Division, The Cure, Death in June, Bauhaus, The Skeletal Family, early Amebix, Sex Gang Children, Christian Death and others from the first wave of goth rock/death rock/darkwave/post punk/ whatever and condensed it down to it's essential awesomeness. It seems there's been a trend to get back to the punky-er roots of this music and a return to anarchist politics and DIY mindset as many of these artists have roots playing punk rock. This year saw some incredible releases from these new acts. Here are 13 I would like to share.
