Bands Who Deserve More Attention

Every one here on Sputnik knows some band(s) who needs more attetion from music lovers and critics. Here are five artists who deserve, in my opinion, a chance!
1Poe

In my opinion is Poe the most underrated artist ever. Poe brought out two magnificent albums; Hello (1995) and Haunted (2000). Both are still very unknown by many people. I got to know Poe after I heard the title track of the album Haunted in the Alan Wake game, I immediately felt in love with her amazing voice and creepy kinda pop/rock music. Both albums have their own charm and stand out tracks. So if I could suggest any artist to Sputnik, it would be Poe!
2Jon Porras

Mister Jon Porras makes musical landscapen with his guitar. Their is no better description for his music. Porras brought out 3 albums; Undercurrent (2011), Orilla Oscura ?and Black Mesa (both 2012). His latest efford, Black Mesa, is in my opinion one of the most beautiful Ambient albums I've ever heard.. So if you want to travel through a beautiful, musical landscape, I would suggest Jon Porras (his albums can be found on Spotify).
3Ray Wilson

Ray Wilson is mostly known as the leadsinger who replaced Phil Collins after his departure in Genesis. Wilson sang one album (Calling All Stations, 1997) with Genesis, but due a the lack of record sales the band disbanned and Wilson begun his solo-career. Before Genesis he was the leadsinger of the band Stiltskin (mostly know for their single Inside). Wilson has a big discography and is in my opinion one of the best singer/songwriters alive. So if you love rockmusic, with a raw edge, I would recommend Calling All Stations (Genesis), The Mind's Eye (Stiltskin) and Unfullfillment (Ray Wilson & Stiltskin).
4Mister And Mississippi

A Dutch indie group formed on the Herman Brood Acedemie in Utrecht. In the begin of 2013 Mister And Mississippi released they self-titled debut album, wich is, once again, in my opinion one of the best albums of this year. I can't hardly descripe their music (sorry for my lack of English), so you can better listen for yourself ;)
5Nemesea

It's a weird band to put in this list, but this Dutch Female Fronted Electro-rockband deserves a chance! I've been following them for a couple of years now, and I am a very big fan of their last two records; In Control (2007) and The Quiet Resistance (2012). They get mostly compared to act like Evanescence, Within Temptation and Linkin Park, but in my opinion they've created their own unique sound.. So if you have a little time left, and you are a big fan of today's mainstream rockmusic, I would definitely recommed Nemesea!
