09.01.13 | Actually, mellower is the wrong word but I think he is quite easily turned off of bands with repetitive drumming or 1 dimensional vocals as well as being a bit of a music prude. |

of the philosopher. the first time i heard it i just thought the lyrics were kind of funny, not
the best intro song to death or death metal in general |

09.01.13 | I actually got into death metal through Vader so I'd probably suggest he tries their XXV album, nothing special but it's as accessible as death metal gets really. |

09.01.13 | Cyg, it has taken some coaxing for sure but it definitely helps that he feels like he should be more open to a greater variety of music as outside of (mostly) modern prog and/or techy -core stuff he gets quite lost in work place music conversations.
He's a nice guy too so I hope it helps! Bolt Thrower is worth a go, I hadn't even considered them. |

09.01.13 | I enjoy dipping in to each DM sub genre a little bit but I would admit I am not exactly well versed in it compared to many people that post on here. On the whole I prefer a bit of a grind influence in DM (but paradoxically, I don't tend to like grind that sounds like DM) so I struggled with putting together a playlist that would be a healthy mix of genre cornerstones and a few interesting odds and ends. |
