Basic guide to finding tons of c00l music:
1. Check the cool users' latest ratings at least once per week. 4.5 or higher? Get it. 4 and in a genre you like? Get it. Cool cover? Get it. Who's a cool user depends a bit on what you dig but Havey & MrTornado are always safe choices.
2. Check their lists and download just about everything.
3. Go to /mu/ every day. Refresh for 5 minutes or until something cool comes up (a general sharethread or a thread for a genre you like). Download everything with cool covers, especially if it's out of your comfort zone genre-wise.
4. Go to RYM every now and then. Good things will automatically happen.
5. Enjoying something and it sounds like nothing you ever heard before? Go to last.fm and sample good looking female similar artists. Go to rym and check their genre page as well as related lists.
6. Wikipedia/RYM everything that you don't understand/is new to you. Be it genres, technical terms, whatever.
7. Give the new Kyary at least a 4.5

07.01.13 | RYM is too strict with their ratings |
treeqt.
07.01.13 | RYM just has more users and they have a weighted rating system, that's all. |
Trebor.
07.01.13 | They also have a .5 rating |
treeqt.
07.01.13 | yeah having a couple blogs to check every now and then is also good |
