|Top Anticipated Hip-hop Albums Of The 2nd Half Of 2013|
Top anticipated Hip-Hop albums slated to release this year. I'm SO HYPED.
|1|| ||Earl Sweatshirt|
Ever since I heard Earl on his debut mixtape "Earl", I was impressed. Now that I
heard his new singles "Chum" and "Whoa" and his verse on Tyler's "Rusty", all I
could think are two things: "Damn, those multisyllables hit hard man." and "How MF
DOOM gonna hit this youngin?"
|2|| ||J. Cole|
Sorry for the typo, I meant "Born Sinner". Power Trip is one of the top 5 singles so
far this year and it doesn't hurt that both of his EPs are great. I used to think Cole
was boring, but he's stepping it up.
|3|| ||Kanye West|
"Yeezus" is the rumored title for the new album, and I don't really care because "New
Slaves" have my favorite quote in a rap song in a while. "See there's leaders and
there's followers but I'd rather be a dick than a swallower" Keep doing your thing
Yeezy. Did I mention he premiered the "New Slaves" song on 66 buildings worldwide?
|4|| ||ScHoolboy Q|
If you haven't listened to Habits & Contradictions" or "Setbacks", I don't know what
you're doing in your listening career. He has a unique sound with a sweet dash of
gangsta rap sprinkled over the beat. His latest song "Yay Yay" promoted good hype
for the album. Black Hippy consistently release solid tapes and albums. Now we
have to make Jay Rock do the same *shots fired*
Nothing Was The Same
Drake. One of the best rappers/singers/songwriters to release in a decade. Room for
Improvement: Decent. Comeback Season: Good. So Far Gone: Great. Thank Me Later:
Par. Take Care: PERFECT. Drake put out some good songs lately like "5 AM in Toronto",
and "Started From The Bottom". I never really heard a bad Drake song, and I hope this
|6|| ||The Weeknd|
House of Balloons and Echoes of Silence. Enough is said.
Untitled New Album
Ever since Encore, Em has fallen off. Everyone and their naked mothers know this.
Relapse was "meh", Recovery was okay, but Bad Meets Evil: The Sequel WAS FIRE.
EMINEM AND ROYCE KILLED THE ENTIRE ALBUM MAN. THAT TITLE TRACK GOES IN.
"PUT THESE N.U.T.S. INSIDE OF YOUR FUCKING MOUTHS." If Em keeps his BME flow
and have a few tracks with Royce features, it'll be the best damn thing EVER.
