I generally don't listen to this type of music, seeing as i despise hippie festivals after I've gone to like a million. This album however is pretty damn good. Not the best thing I've ever heard, but "Burn One Down" may be the best pot anthem ever written. |

This album is so sludge it makes my testicles jiggle. The bass player is fantastic. I have never heard someone play bass so much like a guitar in my life. These guys have a promising future if they quit biting Thunderbolt and the Melvins. I guess they're allowed to bite the Melvins now that they've made an album with them. |

Survival Is For Cowards
The opening two songs just might be the best opening for an Emo band ever, period. "Code Red" is heart wrenchingly awesome and "What I Built Last Night" are an awesome set of lyrics about religion. If you haven't heard of these guys, do yourself a favor and try. |

The premise behind this album is very cool. About a marriage/relationship deteriorating, which i just recently went through. A lot of the lyrics on this album make me connect with it. Plus, the odd guitar work and the lead singer's voice make it unusual. Something different. |

El-P doesn't disappoint with his second album. The rhymes are tight and witty, and the electronic influence makes it absolutely danceable. |

By far my favorite Neil Young record. "Cinnamon Girl", "Down By the River", and "Round and Round (It Won't Be Long)" are stunning. I don't think I'll ever go more than a couple of days in my life without at least listening to one song off of this masterpiece. |

Easy Tiger
In his career Ryan Adams has somewhat annoyed me with his need to release anything and everything that he has ever recorded. A lot of it is pure crap, whereas some of it is pure brilliance. "Easy Tiger" is in the latter category, brilliance. There is not a track here that I skip. And added bonus for an arena rock song called "Halloween Head". |

The Inevitable Rise and Liberation of NiggyTardust
I was interested in this initially only because Reznor had produced it. What I found was an awesome hip-hop album so influenced by industrial music that it could easily be a Nine Inch Nails album. I am now a fan of this guy and on a quest to find everything I can. |

These guys are one of my favorite bands, and they didn't misstep here. If anything, I like this much more than I like "Oxeneers or the Lion Sleeps When It's Antelope Go Home". Hopefully the next full length will be as amazing as "This Is Meant To Hurt You". "Subtle Body" is one of my favorite songs ever. |
