Just Forty Of Many

These forty albums remind of him, at various points in our lives. I'm sure I could have come up with more. Some are albums we listened to in his car on the way to school...some are albums we listened to in my car when I would drive him around...others are especially unique and will have a description attached. It's been just over three weeks since his passing, and it feels like it's been longer and shorter all at once. I miss him so much and will always hold Travis in my heart. I will always look up to you, Big Brother.

Travis showed me this album (still driving to school in his car) and particularly loved 'Wasting Time (Eternal Summer)' and 'One Step at a Time' which now reminds me of him on a much deeper level.

Bought this album for him for his birthday in 2011. We were at the record store together and at this point he was still using a walker, so I placed the album on the roof of my car to open his door. Forgot it on the roof...pulled over to see it get run over by cars...needless to say it was no longer in mint condition, but it still played! I plan to frame it and put it on my wall.

When I didn't let Travis pick the music in the car, I quite often played this. I hoped he would listen to the lyrics, because I just never knew what to say to him, and I wanted to say it through two songs - 'Anthem of the Angels' and 'Give Me a Sign'

I doubt if Travis ever listened to this album since he had long passed his ABR days. But "Cutting the Ties" made me think of him a lot over the last weeks and months before his death.
