02.20.13 | good headphones are better than speakers unless you are listening to stuff from the 60's
cause man revolver is annoying as fuck through headphones |

02.20.13 | It depends on your price range. Top of the line speakers beat headphones every single time, but can be way more expensive. If you're spending ~$500 or less, go with headphones. If more than that, go for speakers. |

02.20.13 | I have audio technica ATH-M50 and they fucking rule highly recommend them |

02.20.13 | It depends on which you use more. |

02.20.13 | listening to M50s right now, and they were only 150 bucks shipped with tax(CDN) |

02.20.13 | If you've got Audio-Technica ATH-M50s then like me, it's always headphones. I recently set up a Altec Lansing surround sound in my room and it's a shame it hasn't been used much because I can't get enough of these 'phones. :) They are pretty cheap; Only about $120 amazon. |

02.20.13 | Best money I've spent on headphones ever |

02.20.13 | i have both logitech UE6000 headphones, in addition to their Bluetooth speaker (which I have connected to my computer), I must say while cheaper than the headphones, the speaker gets surprisingly good low end, and good highs. an overall good audio experience, I'd say a pair of good laptop speakers, go klipsch, or the logitech 8 speaker |

02.20.13 | if you listen mostly at home, speakers all the way. Any day of the week.
If you listen more while not at home e.g. walking etc.. Headphones
Personally I have a huge bias towards speakers |

02.20.13 | I think in a lower price range, headphones will be a better choice. Audio technica ftw. |

02.20.13 | Headphones are the way to go IMO, unless the speakers are for a home theater set-up. If you're just at your computer listening to music and playing games, I wouldn't bother spending that money.
Baseline - I'm jealous, lady. I couldn't comprehend spending so much on a headphone/amp combo like that. I'm currently stuck between two headphones that each cost about half the 650's (and are closed-backed). |

02.20.13 | base what do you use when you're listening outside of your home
like when you're dancing to September in the subway |

02.20.13 | yo baseline ill trade you your headphones for a first edition copy of Erasure by percival everett |

02.20.13 | Depends on your tastes. I'd say headphones if you want to use it on some portable device or to have some privacy with what you listen to. |

02.20.13 | Thanks for the replies. I might end up grabbing a pair of headphones, since I only get so much time to jam with speakers (I share an apartment), though it is indeed fun blasting music full volume once in a while. I'm biased towards ATH or Sennheiser (if I find the M50, I'll take them). |
Masochist
02.20.13 | You'd be better off ordering online, but if you don't mind paying the slightly higher price, your local Guitar Center ought to have some M50's on hand. |

02.20.13 | yes forgot good music consists of autechre and portishead shiiiit |

02.20.13 | Definitely jamming some Autechre when I get my headphones. |
