It's A Hardcore Kind Of Day

it's a great day for some hardcore. really digging the melodic side lately, but there's always room for some mania. rec's, as always, are appreciated.
1Departures
When Losing Everything Is Everything You Wanted

I can't put my finger on it but there's definitely something - off - about this album. The vocals sound absurdly distant and completely unattached to the rest of the music, but then, so does the rest of the music, relatively speaking. I like it. But I was hoping for so much more after "Escaping" and I'm sure it can still happen.
2Hopesfall
The Satellite Years

Classy spacecore.
3Hundredth
Let Go

By far the most surprising album I've stumbled upon this year, Hundredth absolutely blew me away with their elevated passion on display. Compared to their debut "Let Go" is a damn masterpiece, but it's not, so misquote me, but it's still very good.
4Happy Jawbone Family Band
Tastes the Broom

Eh, pitchfork.
5True
Still Life

Such a consistently, gratifyingly torturous album.
6The Used
Artwork

Extremely over-hated. A perfect blend of heavy goth pop that teases the punk pool every so often. Well, all except for "Kissing You Goodbye".
7Armchairpolitican
Seven Segment Decoder

Refused it for so long.
8Cursed
I

II has slowly, actually it's been pretty quick, dropping from my favorite Cursed album. III is better than most give it credit for, but I is jaw dropping sometimes - 2.5...
9Danny Brown
XXX

Danny Brown is going to be fun to follow for the next three or four or five years, much akin to how we thought Kanye was going to be the same after LR, but then something (idk what but something) happened. I pray the same route isn't in store for Brown cause "XXX" is genius with the best part being how superfluous it is which in some fucked up universe adds to the albums beastliness.
10Daughters
Daughters

Every time I hear "The Hit" I get upset.
11Empire! Empire! (I Was A Lonely Estate)
What It Takes To Move Forward

Like everyone always says, this is good, glad I finally listened to it.
12Galleons
Swans EP

Rules so fucking hard. Deserves more of your respect
13Cave In
Until Your Heart Stops

Cave In's heaviest is, coincidentally, their best.
