Japanese math rock/emo band playing a blend of math rock with indie melody and aggression of post-hardcore, it should please fans of the three styles. It could have more aggression though.
I had no better idea than to take this record label for a 4-way split. This split contains 4 fantastic bands from different parts of Asia. Blue Friend from Japan plays an amazing combination of twinkly emo, emo violence. Pathos from Singapore with hectic vocals in a form of dream-ish screamo. Sjanse also from Singapore playing Post-Rock/Screamo stuff and Virginia on Duty as the typical straight emoviolence band. So anyone who likes such stuff needs to listen to this as soon as possible.
Locomotora is an instrumental post-rock band from Tampere, Finland formed in 2006. Besides post-rock, Locomotora leans towards ambient, experimental and minimal music. Worth to check out!
I listened to TTNG a few times but in the end i decided to put the cabs on this list. Cult of Luna is definitely one of these releases I have to listen to again in better quality. The things i read about The Joy Formidable didn't really raise some interest in me and I will definitely listen to Foxygen.
Empty Handed is just awesome...i can already tell its gonna be in my AOTY list. Preordered the 12" but its a shame shipping is so expensive overseas. Also Diamond Youth is way better than I expected.
