| 25 | | Scale the Summit The Migration
I will have to listen to these guys sooner or later.. I remember giving a listen to one of their old efforts. |
| 24 | | Vienna Circle Silhouette Moon
Trailer was interesting.. |
| 23 | | Hacride Back To Where You've Never Been
On my "to hear" list since years. |
| 22 | | Orphaned Land All Is One
Hopefully it will be shorter than OrWarrioR.. They lack synthesis but not the ability to create amazing metal. |
| 21 | | Amorphis Circle
I might as well listen to it, single seemed pretty solid. |
| 20 | | Tesseract Altered State
Snippet just left me wanting more. Of Mind - Nocturne is mindblowing. |
| 19 | | The Ocean Pelagial
You just can't skip this. Website got me f'n pumped, Bathypelagic is.. Bam! |
| 18 | | The Dear Hunter Migrant
Dear Casey, plz do not screw up this release. Thx |
| 17 | | The Korea Saturnus
Djent + an enormous amount of vodka = Russian Vildhjarta. |
| 16 | | Damned Spring Fragrantia Divergences
So young, yet already so good live.. Debut has the potential to be a bomb. Titletrack f****n broke my neck. |
| 15 | | Northlane Singularity
Sometimes you need a stupid metalcore album. Heard some of the singles, won't probably dig it but I feel the lack of
breakdowns |
| 14 | | No Consequence IO
First snippet didn't catch me at all, but the single.. Mmh, seems promising. |
| 13 | | Nero di Marte Nero di Marte
dem italianz |
| 12 | | Jolly The Audio Guide to Happiness (Part 2)
REVIEWED - 4.0 http://www.sputnikmusic.com/review/56105/Jolly-The-Audio-Guide-to-Happiness-%28Part-2%29/
..If binaural tones will not make you happier, you will most probably be by listening to the "Audio Guide": the second part of the
two-disc concept feels more inspired, more experimental and definitely an improvement. |
| 11 | | How to Destroy Angels Welcome Oblivion
Trent Trent Trent.. |
| 10 | | Olafur Arnalds For Now I Am Winter
Icelandic music is always interesting, plus there's Agent Fresco's singer in it, might be worth it. |
| 9 | | Bring Me the Horizon Sempiternal
They can write tracks that one would define as enjoyable, yet they still don't know s**t about releasing a decent record. Let's
see.. |
| 8 | | Long Distance Calling The Flood Inside
yay |
| 7 | | Within the Ruins Elite
Chuggy sh*t that I could actually enjoy.. Mmh. |
| 6 | | Hrvrd From The Bird's Cage
Sounds like "Day Without Dawn went indie", could be worth a shot. |
| 5 | | Disperse Living Mirrors
LISTENED - 4
So damn good! |
| 4 | | Riverside Shrine of New Generation Slaves
LISTENED - 3.5
Definitely a grower. I hated the feeling "Celebrity Touch" gave me at first, but now, after a few listens, I'm sold. Not their
best,
but it's a great album. Thought at first that all these 70s elements "ruined" the typical sound of Riverside, but they're all stil
here.. Except now they are accompanied by a hammond. |
| 3 | | Pomegranate Tiger Entities
LISTENED - 3.5
I was tempted to give it a 3 due to its repetitive patterns, but then I thought about the great musicianship, some outstanding
tracks (New Breed, Stars and the Ocean suite) and the fact that this is a debut. 3.5 for these good fellows. |
| 2 | | Coheed and Cambria The Afterman: Descension
Still have to check their 2012 effort, "Year of the Black Rainbow" was a bit hit-miss and got bored of this band. |
| 1 | | Cult of Luna Vertikal
LISTENED - 3.5 While not my genre at all, they deliver a great live performance and, most of all, a good album that might appeal
also to those who aren't that much into sludge (like me). |
