Pretty standard, really.

Foxy Shazam
The Church of Rock and Roll

There are some duds here, but this album's high points are far too great to ignore.

Wild Water Kingdom

Nehru Jacket's has greatness, but is too long. This one's the right length, and features some damn good beats/lines.

Attacks my weakness for dark, synth-based 1980s pop.

Cancer 4 Cure

Tougher, colder El-P.

Villain got banished.

Flying Lotus
Until the Quiet Comes

Lush.

Kendrick Lamar
Good Kid, M.A.A.D. City

Maybe overhyped, but still a fantastic album.

Fiona Apple
The Idler Wheel...

I still like When the Pawn... better, but this album is a very different beast altogether.

Imperfect. Fantastic.

Frank Ocean
Channel Orange

Easily my favorite album of the year. I've listened to it straight through upwards of 50 times; never gets old.
