3 Top Surprisingly Good Releases Of The Year

There were some albums I purchased this year that weren't top 5 rmaterial, but surprised the rrrrrhell out of by how good they were.
3 Green Day
?UNO!

We all expected this album to suck. And for a lot of people it really did. If you're looking for a masterpiece go away. If you are looking for hooks, and back to basics style, come on in. Strong tracks like "Nuclear Family" and "Stay the Night" will make sure your stay is enjoyable.

Black Diamonds

Two former members of a generic metalcore outfit decide to make their own band? This band signs to the same exact label as their singer's and screamer's past band Woe, Is Me? A dwindling message to their fan base about how they all suck? From those alone this album may appear to the worst of the year. Until you actually listen to this effort. It seamlessly combines metalcore, punk, pop, and r&b into this insanely catchy cocktail anyone would notice. "The Worst of Them" has a powerful combination of deep lyrics, soulful vocals, killer hooks, and fantastic musical arrangements.

Overexposed

It has finally been done. This is something I am not proud of. However what we have here is a band finally realizing they're better served as a pop band than a rock band. The result is many, many catchy tracks, with it's fair share of duds but even those can make you grin. You can't listen through this album without a song getting stuck in your head, particularly the ridiculously catchy "Lucky Strike".
