Ikarus14: Top 7 Iron Maiden Albums

Ikarus14 12.07.12	The cover on Dance of Death is the worst out of all of them, that's really all I have to complain about it. But yeah, I understand your reaction over the self titled album, and I agree it's a classic but it's just not one of my favorites.

Ikarus14 12.07.12	Brave New World is one of their best albums since Powerslave, and that's due to more then just Dickinson and Smith returning at that stage. And what the fudge is wrong with Dance of Death?

Ikarus14 12.07.12	This is the kind of fighting I imagine when I listen to 'Back in the Village'. :P Also, Piece of Mind: Would have been one of my favorites if not for those two sub par tunes in it ('Quest for Fire' and 'Sun and Steel', they really did hit a mental block with these). Even then, a couple of other songs like Where Eagles Dare and Die With Your Boots On both feel a minute too long then what they need to be. In that retrospect, I find Piece of Mind is a little, if not greatly, overrated. Still a great album, just not one of my favorites.

demigod93 12.07.12	Sun and Steel and Quest for Fur are pretty lol yeah agreed. Rest of the album is tops though. I also have a lot of sentimental value towards it, it was my first metal album along with Ride the Lightning and a Sabbath comp
Ikarus14 12.07.12	I'm still not seeing why everyone on this site seems to hate on Dance of Death quiet a lot. 'Rainmaker', 'Dance of Death', 'Paschendale' and 'Journeyman'. Come on lads, those are some of the best examples of their current progressive era. :L
demigod93 12.07.12	it's not bad it's just that their other albums out shine them in a lot of people's eyes. I prefer A Matter of Life and Death tbh. Im also not a huge fan of the modern Maiden.
