They don't force you to do anything. The pelican bit was cool but way too short. The mammoth bit is totally up to you. I spent that entire mission on a warthog. If you mean new weapons, they didn't force you to pick anything up. If anything, I had to look for new weapons. If I didn't look hard enough, many of the weapons would have never been picked up by me.

The higher ranked unsc dudes have always treated the Master chief like shit, and he always debunks their claims. This game is no different. I'm satisfied with the direction 343 took the series. The reason I play Halo is because of the story with mp being a nice bonus.

11.26.12 | It is pretty COD now, you can always sprint without having the armor ability, there are customized load-outs and little buffs that boost your shields, reload speed, sprinting etc so if you like that set-up you'll definitely enjoy this.
The campaign wasn't the greatest but there are moments of it that are really enjoyable and every level has its own set of unique weapons so every level you have something new and interesting to try out.
There are so many guns now that the combat is really diverse and there doesn't seem to be one way that's just more effective. In total it's a strong new approach to Halo that blends a lot of the traditional elements with a more standardized FPS interface.
I'd say it's definitely worth it. KOTH, CTF, Oddball, SWAT, and Slayer Pro are insanely fun and the campaign is a pretty decent ride. Do it. |

Symmetrical Arenas is what Halo were before reach. the pit, wizard, battle creek, and sanctuary were some of the best halo maps and they were symmetrical, which is why I like Halo 4 maps a lot more than reach.

Ranked play is going to have less if any of the cod bullshit. I imagine the loadouts will simply be a choice of the AR, BR or DMR which I guess I'm okay with (if you are good with the BR there are very few maps it wouldn't be the gun you want). They just REALLY need to fucking fix weapon spawns and put in good maps.
