Logged Into Sputnik After 2 Years - Ive Missed My Metal

I went to uni, far from the city, so i couldnt afford to go to gigs anymore. I discovered the world of drugs and basement parties, and discovered reggae and dub, electro, drum n bass and house. I rarely listened to my rock after a year. Today I listened to some metal/hardcore/whatevs, and this is list of the music I still love after this whole time! I misssed you!
1Fear Before

Dayammmmm - the lyrics of this band is what i used to spend most of my time reading, Hands down TAOP wins. It completely opened my eyes to my now very aware and super conspiracy freaky person i am. But then they brought out 'fear before' and it was super uplifting, it was goood - i think this was a very life changing band, they made me think fucking deeep. and the music was so fucking heavy and atmospheric and good.
2Underoath

So i just discovered they are breaking up, and i loved this band, and seeing them live was immence, because they always played massive venues, and that was strange for me, but awesome. I thought listening to so much mellow reggae would put me off screaming, but loving metal or hardcore is like riding a bike, you cannot forget how to.
3Between the buried and me

I remember when sputnik used to lick their bums and thats pretty much why i tried them out. Epic. Drum n bass has its moments of epicness, but I've missed this extrememlemelymelmey epicness.
4Sikth

Fuck. They werent life changing but listening to them makes me fucking want jump up and down so hardddddd. And stomp and stomp. Wow my way with words, has declined since university. I think Metal actually encouraged my reading and writing skkills, and listening and desiphering skills, especially trying to understand sikths screams. But i love how dark sikth was.
5Protest the hero

dun dun dun. Well the band i saw the most live, they were so fun, and i dont find them as epic.... Becuase I think what I had before was an obsession, which grew whenever I saw them live. It was like i loved them for their personalities, rather than their music. Not entirely true, they are still great, but I need to click with them again. Even Underoath beats them on the 'listenable after a few years' scale
6Parkway drive

Oh gosh, was I caught in this group yes, do i still think they are good. well i think breakdowns are fucking fun. I have been listening to very drum n bassy, beat type music. uh. so drums and breakdowns appeal to me very much. The edgeyness of them, i cant quite put my finger on it. I wouldnt never listen to them out loud in my house however. It is embarrassing.
7the faceless

still good. Its really dancey.
8After the burial

i love breakdowns again, and i think i am going to become a metalcore head again. Its fucking addictive, its seriously like drum n bass.
9Chiodos

Gave this a listen. Its fucking lame. But at the same time, breakdowns. breakkdowns. I think metalcore genre, is drum n bass in disguise. Just like really heavy with screams instead of melodic vocals. omg. listening to undertakers thirst for revenge.... Actually quite good.
10rx bandits

Not metal but still fucking on my list because it has reggae influences. The gateway. It is fucking dubby, and dancey, and chill. genius
11The sound of animals fighting

Trippy, and bassy, and experimental. yep still on my list of listening to especially when high.
12DEFTONES

Yeah babey, its so droney, but dark, and bassy, and everything i like in music. This is definetly something that im not embarrassed to still listen to
13architects

yeah it'll do. breakdowns and all that.
14him

omg him. omg him. no thanks. i dont want to commit suicide. I f i listened to this while on a come down i think i surely would drown myself. but still nice melodies.
15the mars volta

only at the bottom because i never stopped listening. ok sometimes i did. but i will never doubt my love for this band. They're so crazy the way they make up words and shit. I love them. Foreverrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr. so epic.
