1. Review something that hasn't been reviewed yet. If you have to review an album you're are passionate about, make that like 10% of the reviews you put out.
2. Describe the album as a whole rather than individual tracks. Ellaborate on main points and try to strike a clean balance between formal and informal.
3. Don't make the review too long or too short.
4. Accept constructive critisism with an open mind, and don't argue with someone even if you're right. Just say thanks and move on.
5. If someone negs you just ignore it and don't mention anything about.
6. Getting through your first couple reviews are the hardest but as people see your efforts over time and your attention to becoming a better writter, you will be respected more.

10.04.12 | I dunno, its sometimes fun to do stuff thats well known as long as you try to make it a bit different, best is to mix some of those with newer releases and old personal favorites that have no review yet. If all you do is obscure stuff it gets kinda soul-destroying unless u are a well known reviewer who people want to read. |
