Top 10 Unwritten Law Songs
A highly underrated band that I have nothing but good things to say about. |
| 10 | Unwritten Law Babalon
Love the break before the final chorus to this song especially, which rides a really cool
guitar line with the distorted voices of talking children in the background. Plus, the
opening lines "Sit back, relax, before you give yourself a heart attack / I ain't havin'
none of that" are epic. |
| 9 | Teenage Suicide
The instrumentals really take centre-stage on this track that benefits from confident
writing as well. |
| 8 | Blame It On Me
Extremely catchy. |
| 7 | California Sky
The first song I heard from these fellas. |
| 6 | I Like The Way
A favourite of mine off of Here's To The Mourning. Catchy lyrics mixed with a
somewhat dark subject matter ("I know how she feels, boy" suggests an affair) and
you have a dangerous affair that works effectively because of how provocative it is. |
| 5 | Lost Control
My favourite off of Here's To The Mourning. Fantastic vocal performance, and an
incredible chorus section throughout. |
| 4 | Rest of My LIfe
Another song off of my favourite album from these great guys, "Rest of My Life"
offers a relaxing and pleasantly brisk look at love and loyalty. Really great. |
| 3 | Hellborn
Crazy off-the-wall lyrics pollute this track in an awesome way, the chorus is
belligerent and brilliant in every way. |
| 2 | Before I Go
The day that I die, I hope I hear this song playing somewhere before I go. |
| 1 | Evolution
Judge Ruffneck introduces the madness that is "Evolution", Unwritten Law's best song
and one of the best album closers of all-time. If you have not heard this song before,
do yourself a favour. You owe it to yourself. |
