This one was tough. It was between Sodom and Kreator, but I went with Sodom because of '89s ''Agent Orange'' and '01s ''M16''. If they didn't release those, then it would be Kreator no Doubt! They have had several good albums, but these two stand out the most! | | 4 | Pantera
Not a huge fan of groove metal, but Pantera is legendary! Their early Glam stuff is complete SHIT, but they started heading in the right direction with "Power Metal" in '88. They really started kicking ass with ''Cowboys From Hell'' in '90. They have 5 amazing albums and one that had great potential! IDK what my favorite is though, I love all of their 5 Groove albums. | | 3 | Exodus
They have never released a bad album! They would be #1, but Metallica's and Megadeth's good stuff is just slightly better. I would not even be able to begin to tell you what my favorite album, line up, or even song for this band is! | | 2 | Megadeth
This is mainly for their thrash stuff. Their first 5 are legendary! The next 3 are ok at times, and not so good at others. They came back good in the 21st century and have been solid ever since. This is mainly because of their first 4. The Black Album is ok, and Death Magnetic is a good return, but their first 4 are what makes them my favorite band. St. Anger had potential with some of the riffs, but the lack of solos, drum sound, production, and modern sound really ruined it! Load, Reload, and LULU suck HORRIBLY! Beyond Magnetic is a good bunch of songs too! ''...And Justice for All'' (1988) is the best, but I respect their first 4 all the same! | |
