Here, haz some recz:
Amia Venera Landscape
Life in Your Way
Pianos Become the Teeth
Poison the Well
We Are The Ocean
Hum good list!
I can definitely recommend The Fall of Troy, listen to the s/t, Doppelganger, Ghosthip EP and the last half of Manipulator. Bands that sound kinda like TFoT include Hot Cross, and maybe Dance Gavin Dance.
About Thrice, listen to all by them. They don't have a single weak release.
9 is a classic, not so much their next albums.
10 is great, I'm starting to see a pattern here, you like fast guitars! I suggest The Dillinger Escape Plan, A Lot Like Birds, Look What I Did and Every Time I Die.
Welcome to Sputnik!
Recs:(judging by Fall Of Troy)
For The Mathematics
At The Drive-In
The Sound Of Animals Fighting
For something similar to August Burns Red, i'll rec you Apostate.
I love TFoT. Here's some stuff I think you'd dig based off of that.
Dance Gavin Dance - Happiness (Very fun album. Definitely some catchy noodly guitar parts in there.)
Red Museum - Self Titled (This band sounds very identical to TFoT in every way and you'd really dig them if you dig TFoT)
At the Drive-In - Relationship of Command (If you were to ask me, TFoT and AtD-I don't sound all that alike, but AtD-I certainly has that chaos/tempo switch factor going for them that TFoT had on their earlier stuff.)
BATS - Red in Tooth and Claw (It's like a fun TFoT)
Fugazi - 13 Songs (If you dug AtD-I then You'll definitely dig this. Fugazi is an essential band, too, if you ask me)
Gospel - The Moon is a Dead World (Some awesome progressive post-hardcore with screamo influences.)
Joyce Manor - Self Titled (Trust me)
Radiohead - Ok Computer (Trust me )
Bomb the Music Industry!
Sed Non Satiata
Happy listening. Welcome to the site.
Mother Mother, nice
check out Hey Rosetta! and Hey Ocean! (forgive the terrible band names, both Canadian indie-rock bands)
The Weakerthans (god-tier canadian indie rock)
that's it for now I guess.

Botch - We Are The Romans
Coalesce - OX
Every Time I Die - Hot Damn!
Architects - Hollow Crown
The National are a big fish initially yeah
Get some screamo man, my first encounter would have been I Would Set Myself On Fire For You selftitled. It was a bit hard at first but jam tracks like A Small World and Chinese Freeze Tag.
Blindside - Silence
Chevelle - Wonder what's next
Zao - Liberate te ex inferus
Demon Hunter - Summer of Darkness
Arch Enemy - Burning Bridges

Wow, this absolutely exploded. I didn't expect to see this many replies. I guess you guys freaking love giving recs. I'll have a lot of music to listen to. Thank you muchly :)
And of all the bands I've listed, I've listened to most of the music that they've put out, I was just listing my favorite albums by them (except for the National, I guess). I suppose I should add a disclaimer or something in there.
You may not like Emmure and The Devil Wears Prada because they suck ass.
DevilDriver-The Fury of Our Makers Hand
Every Time I Die-Ex Lives
Heaven Shall Burn-Invictus
The Human Abstract-Digital Veil
Lamb of God-Ashes of The Wake
Mastodon-All of it
All of these are entry level metal recs
devil sold his soul, rinoa and amia venera landscape for sure.
and welcome to sputnik
To your Rise Against comment, that nobody does similar things, check out:
Ignite - Our Darkest Days
Strike Anywhere - Change is a Sound (Possibly too in your face), Exit English, Dead FM , Iron Front
No Trigger - Canyoneer, Tycoon
Lifetime - Jersey's Best Dancers
Kid Dynamite - S/T and Shorter, Faster, Louder
Paint it Black - Paradise
None More Black - File Under Black
First three recs are pretty similar to Rise Against at least vocally, or musically, the last four are melodic hardcore bands that helped to define the genre and they all share members, Rise Against actually covered a Lifetime song live at one point. So, check them out and enjoy, welcome to Sputnik.
Misery Signals - OF Malice and the Magnum Heart
Misery Signals - Mirrors
Misery Signals - Controller
Do you like lo-fi? How about Flyleaf.
For TFOT definitely check out:
Tera Melos - Patagonian Rats (A lot of the songs on here remind me of the softer, more poppy songs from Manipulator)
Duck Duck Goose - Off Yourself (The closest band I've ever heard to TFOT, only more noisy)
Lol at some of these recs. For the Fall of Troy, try Damezumari.
just listen to Fugazi and eat pizza forever
