This is the closest thing we'll ever get to a studio album from these legends, and it certainly works as one. The production is rather poor, as to be expected from a pile of demos, but if you look past that, you'll find some interesting punk rock. Instead of going for traditional rock instrumentation with guitar leads, the Screamers instead opted for synth leads, which gave them a very robotic sound. The result is punk rock that sounds very different than the Clash or the Sex Pistols, since it has this very creepy, technological sound to it that still sounds unique today. Plenty of bands have copied them, but this is where "synth-punk" quite possibly began (next to Suicide).
