Tim Kasher takes on a blend of pop folk and rock into an album whose tracks all bring something new and interesting to the table, and are consistently catchy. The running theme of the album works well, and interesting use of sounds such as a muted trumpet in You're No Fool and the 8-bit type synth in Needy add to the overall aesthetic of the album. Inmates in particular is one of the greatest songs ever.
