4.0 excellent | Gene Gol-Jonsson CONTRIBUTOR | July 2nd 23 | The Black Angels have crafted a rather comfortable yet recognisable sound for themselves. They have the aura of a rather standard hard psych band, yet their nonchalant and lucid approach to song-writing and production is quite distinct. Theirs is the kind of psych that can be essentially self-repeating for nearly an hour and only on occasion become tiresome. Quite the feat.

4.5 superb | herebedragons69 | October 3rd 22 | Having set the bar so high with early albums like Passover, Directions to See a Ghost, Phosphene Dream, Indigo Meadow, and Death Song it's no small task to create a new body of material that rises to the occasion. Yet that's exactly what The Black Angels accomplish with this release. Wilderness of Mirrors is a welcome addition to a body of work that rules the Neo-Psychedelia dimension.
